S1E4: PNC 101: Bribes, Risks & Salary

Phoenix discusses "Option 3" for getting out of (paying your way out of) a police checkpoint in Guatemala. She introduces basic information about the National Civil Police (PNC / Policia Nacional Civil) such as hiring requirements and some of the daily challenges for these officers. She also compares PNC salaries to national minimum wage and examines what that will buy in the developing country. This isn't anti-police, nor is it pro-police, rather more of a commentary on some of the details and math of real-life Guatemala.
